Membership categories
Refund Policy
Termination of membership will be handled in accordance with the policies and procedures laid down in the SPUMS Constitution. Any request for reimbursement of membership fees will be considered by the SPUMS Executive Committee on a case by case basis.

| 2012 Corporation Membership |

| 2012 Full Membership |
Any medical practitioner who is legally qualified in the country of his/her nationality or the country of his/her domicile whose membership has been accepted in accordance with the rules set out under the SPUMS constitution. |
| 2012 Associate Membership |
Any person who is not a legally qualified medical practitioner who has applied for membership and has been accepted as a member of the Association in accordance with the rules set out in the Constitution. |
| 2012 Student Membership |
Any person who is not a legally qualified medical practitioner and who is undergoing training to become a medical practitioner will be eliglbe to join as a student member. The student member does not hold voting rights at the Annual Scientific Meeting and is not eligible for any reduction in registration fees for the Annual Scientific Meeting. Once the student has qualified as a medical practitioner they will automatically transfer to the Full membership category. |
| 2012 Retired Membership |
Any full member who has been a member of SPUMS for at least 10 continuous years and who has retired from all paid medical employment can request transfer to the retired membership category. Retired members will retain their voting rights at the Annual General Meeting but will not be eligible for any reduction in registration fees for the Annual Scientific Meeting. |
